In The Beginning

I guess there’s no time but the present. Or, so they say? I’ve been wanting to start this blog for quite some time now. Imagining what I’d write about, taking photo’s…thinking someone out there has got to be as interested in what I like as I am…. right?

The name Primitive Inspirations came to me a long time ago. My girls (2)  were very young and I was in full mommy mode. I had been bitten by the primitive bug and loved (in my spare, spare time) to create those primitive dolls! Playing about with ageing fabric, dying with coffee & tea, grunging with cinnamon and nutmeg.  It was a great ‘ole time making  a yummy smelling mess whenever I could!

I graduated eventually to selling a few dolls and make-do’s on Ebay, whenever I could. Always thinking I’d like to make a go of it in earnest. Prim dolls are really my first love but I’ve graduated to so many other wonderful things! Old photo’s (who can pass them up?), vintage linens (holes included), bins and bins (and bins) of fabric, yarn (waayyyy to much yarn!), rusty metal (I’m shaking my head as I write this) and free sidewalk furniture (I can fix that!).  😉

No, I’m NOT a hoarder! and yes, I do have many cats 😉  (with two dogs & three chickens thrown in also), and a VERY patient husband!

Time has flown by (my daughter’s are now 19 & 23…amazing), and I have spent the last 4 years in the Real Estate field, always with Primitive Inspirations in the back of my mind. It won’t be silenced! So, HERE I GO!

I don’t really know what I would like to accomplish with this adventure, but let’s have some fun! I’ll share my ideas, photo’s, travels, and whatever comes to mind. I hope you’ll chime in from time to time and tell me how I’m doing!

Onwards…
